Hey Mantis. Did you search "Invading bamboo" or similar. I remember a thread that showed a culm growing through asphalt.

I remember that thread, but there is another one where it totally took over a house. I believe one of the forum members went to try and help the homeowner out. It was ugly.

There was the one where rhizomes were growing all over and filled a crawl space. There was also the one where the bamboo was growing right up next to the house and the shoots coming up were going under the siding and pealing off.

Of course at one time I had left a light on in the basement and bind weed had penetrated the basement wall. I was rather surprised to discover all the vines covering the wall.

I think it's screaming, "Hey! This house wasn't built to code!!!!"

Search "tree roots asphalt" and go to images.

Search "tree roots concrete" and go to images.

Search "tree branch car" and go to images.

"tree branch foundation damage"
