I made this map for my cartography class. Please let me know what you think and if there's any way I can improve it. You need Macromedia Flash to view it.
Thanks,
Michael

Looks nice. The rollover pop-ups need to have larger text for older eyes.mshaffer wrote:I made this map for my cartography class. Please let me know what you think and if there's any way I can improve it. You need Macromedia Flash to view it.

I would like to see the links work to the websites. What do you plan on doing with this? I want to follow your work. Great site!!

Very nice! Only one thing... Can you make my region look warmer on the map so I can grow bigger bamboo?
Maybe one more thing... Take TyTy off the growers map. From what I've read you might not want to list them. You could put Needmore, Roy, David, Boonut, etc. on the map instead.

RE: Bamboo growing conditions map
Yes, definitely take Ty Ty off the map. For one thing, I don't think "popular" is quite the euphemism I would use to describe them!
Southern Indiana.
My Bamboo List.
The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.

RE: Bamboo growing conditions map
One thing I had not noticed is the amount of sunlight we receive here in Pittsburgh
I could see instead of pandas, using smaller dots and expanding the amount of nurseries and maybe have a separate color dot for growers who do not necessarily sell, but will discuss/educate and offer for people see their bamboo.
Pretty cool

RE: Bamboo growing conditions map
I have Macromedia Flash but after the slow dial-up wait, all I saw was a black screen with pandas here & there.

Looks pretty good, Instead of pandas, I would use the
symbol, because cobra plans on dominating the bamboo industry and crushing the competition.

Looks nice but I think some of the pandas are lost. Check the address for bamboo4u in Florida.
Good Work.

RE: Bamboo growing conditions map
Thanks for the replies guys! I will make some corrections to the symbol sizes and yea I will remove TyTy. Eventually I would like this map to be kind of a definitive bamboo growing information map. It will list all the nurseries and anything else important. If you have any ideas of other things I could put on it let me know!
Thanks again,
