Brrrrr......Winter's Coming!

Post by Eric Layton »

We had a very cold weekend with snow in the mountains and frost on the tomatoes and pumpkins. The picture below shows the view from my backyard. P. glauca closeup, P. rubro next, then the snow covered mountains. Most likely, the snow won't last, but it's a hint of what is just around the corner. Eric

Beautiful view you have :!: :D

Well down here in Florida, we were experiencing 95 in the shade. North Florida. What a difference a couple thousand miles make

Not cold enough where I live to freeze my tomatoes although I did cover them. The basil survived without protection.

Hey Eric,
It has NEVER snowed here, although I do have some suspicious white stuff in my freezer. Lowest temp ever recorded here was 41F.
Beautiful photo!

It was 26*F the night before last so I don't have to worry about tomatoes outside of the greenhouse. :(
Could you send some of that snow up here? Right now I would take moisture in any form.

Booking
There is a big difference in the weather depending on what side of the mountains you are on. The low so far in Puyallup has been only been 43*F.

The legal issues that will arise when the undead walk the earth are legion, and addressing them all is well beyond what could reasonably be accomplished in this brief Essay. Indeed, a complete treatment of the tax issues alone would require several volumes.

Either extreme is bad. On the cold side, you can keep putting more layers of clothing on in winter. On the hot side, you can not keep taking layers off, there are only so many........................

I've experienced both... I went to college in Duluth, MN. We he -68* (not windchill) one year when I was there. I'd still rather have that than 6 months of 95*+ heat. But considering I'm in the oil industry I'm pretty much stuck in the south (my wife refuses to move to Calgary) :(

Highest point in Key West is about 6 feet above sea level and it dosen't matter which side you're on.
